Functional Integration of UMTS and B-ISDN - Vehicular Technology Conference, 1995 IEEE 45th
نویسنده
چکیده
Nowadays mobile telecommunication systems and fixed telecommunication networks are developed as standalone systems and exist as separate and independent systems, interconnected at just a few points. A main objective of third generation mobile systems is to specify mobile-specific functionality as integral part of fixed networks. This paper addresses the (possible) integration of future mobile and fixed systems, UMTS and B-ISDN. It proposes the use of advanced broadband basic call functions for the support of mobile call setup and handover, addresses the common use of a communication infrastructure, and finally, investigates the support of handover by B-ISDN multi-party call capabilities.’

Outage probability analysis for cellular mobile radio with multiple, arbitrary Nakagami interferers - Vehicular Technology Conference, 1995 IEEE 45th
In this study, we derive new expressions for the probability of outage where a mobile unit receives a Nakagami desired signal and multiple, cochannel, independent Nakagami interferers. Unlike some previous results, the expressions are usable when the Nakagami fading parameter, m , is not necessarily an integer. An exact formula is also derived for the outage probability when the desired signal ...
متن کاملA New Frequency Detector for Orthogonal Multicarrier Transmission Techniques - Vehicular Technology Conference, 1995 IEEE 45th
This paper deals with the carrier frequency synchronization of orthogonal multicarrier systems, which are an effective transmission technique for coping with the typical channel impairments present in mobile reception. A new carrier frequency detector is introduced and its performance thoroughly analyzed in the presence of a multipath channel. In particular we have analytically derived the freq...
متن کاملInterchannel Interference Analysis of OFDM in a Mobile Environment - Vehicular Technology Conference, 1995 IEEE 45th
Othogonal frequency division multiplexing with a suitably chosen guard interval is a n effective means of eliminating intersymbol interference for high-rate transmission over fading dispersive channels. T ime variations of t h e channel, however, lead to a loss of subchannel orthogonality, resulting in interchannel interference (ICI). This art icle examines t h e effects of IC1 through analysis...
متن کاملFading depth dependence on system bandwidth in mobile communications - an analytical approximation
A simple and computationally inexpensive analytical approach to the evaluation of the short-term fading depth dependence on system bandwidth and environment characteristics is proposed. The approach, accounting for the maximum difference in propagation path length and having the Rice factor as a parameter, is derived from fitting simulated data from a model in the literature. Application exampl...
متن کاملSurvey the Security Function of Integration of vehicular ad hoc Networks with Software-defiend Networks
In recent years, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have emerged as one of the most active areas in the field of technology to provide a wide range of services, including road safety, passenger's safety, amusement facilities for passengers and emergency facilities. Due to the lack of flexibility, complexity and high dynamic network topology, the development and management of current Vehicular A...
